October 18^th, a check for $7,898.89 was presented to the Poudre Valley Hospital Cancer Center at the “Eagle’s Hockey Game” at the event center in Fort Collins/Loveland CO.

            “Run for Hope has raised awareness, provided education & given hope to those diagnosed with a rare neuroendocrine disease, carcinoid.  As a Carcinoid Cancer Survivor, I know how blessed we will be to have all our oncology services under one roof.  On behalf of my family, our generous supporters and all the participants of the 2008 Run for Hope 5k, we are honored to present this check to the PVH Cancer center fund in the amount of nearly $8,000”. Three other checks were sent to the following:

          $3,300 to the “Caring for Carcinoid Foundation”

          $3,300 to the “Ramstrong Foundation”

          $3,300 to the “Diana Price Fish Cancer Foundation”

The remainder of $$ were left in our Run for Hope account to use toward next year’s 5^th Annual Run for Hope! 

THANK ALL OF YOU for your support, participation and faith in our endeavor to raise awareness of carcinoid, for education of this very rare cancer and most of all for being a part of giving HOPE to so many Cancer survivors!  Together WE are making a DIFFERENCE!
